Felling of 4 Beech Trees Infected by Wood-Decay Fungi in Uccle

Safe Tree Felling in the Verrewinkel Woods, Uccle

The Plumridge Tree Experts team recently carried out an intervention in the Verrewinkel Woods, an iconic woodland in the municipality of Uccle, in southern Brussels. Our mission: the safe felling of four beech trees severely compromised by wood-decay fungi.

Why fell these beeches?

Wood-decay fungi such as Ganoderma or Fomes fomentarius attack living and dead wood, causing progressive structural degradation. Our certified arborists diagnosed irreversible damage requiring complete removal.

Controlled felling in a wooded area

Working in a protected natural area like the Verrewinkel Woods requires a rigorous approach. Our teams set up a safety perimeter and used sectional dismantling techniques.
